Dave's Homecoming

Dave is finally home! Yay! I am so glad he is home and we are a family again! Thank you all for your prayers, support and love during the time he has been gone! And although we had SO MUCH FUN this spring and summer with family and friends in Texas, we are sooooo glad to have Dave back home! Man, we missed him!

Dave's Uncles and Aunts drove in from Clear Water and Helene flew in from Bedford to attend his homecoming. It was such a blessing to have them there! Helene and I prepared a homecoming meal (that Dave specifically asked for) and had a grand homecoming party after the fly in!

After 6 months apart, we were all smiles!

Chaz has grown 4 inches and gained 4.5 lbs. since Dave left on April 5.

My first attempt at fondant! I thought it looked strangely similar to Chaz's blue play-dough, but it was tasty and that is what counts I suppose! It was as Dave requested, chocolate cake with chocolate icing (underneath, that is!)
(BTW, I got the mix, icing and fondant at Michael's... It's from that guy Duff on Ace of Cakes!)
