Mary Kay Seminar 2009

Mary Kay Seminar was SO AMAZING this summer! I love going and I would never miss it! I am so glad I was able to go this year after having Chaz. God just really worked things out for me to be able to go and to make a vacation of it. More pics of the family time we had to come.

I met my amazing team in Dallas and we had a fabulous 4 days of celebrating. Everyone had different accomplishments that were celebrated at Seminar... that is why I love this company... everyone is working at a different pace and meeting different goals, but everyone is celebrated.

Below is a pic of Robyn, myself, Terry and Estelle... we were headed to our National Area Awards night. The theme was to dress like you did in high school... such a fun theme because there were so many decades represented there from hippies to punk rock to flappers! I just wore a dance t-shirt from the drill team and my letterman jacket b/c the 90's style was kind of bland, and that was after all what you would see me wearing a lot in high school. I did however wear a bump it in my hair to give it some height (yes, the one advertised on tv... my mom got is for me to wear that night and it really does work!)

Below is me with Kelly as a prep! For sure!

Not everyone knows this but Mary Kay is changing lives in over 40 countries worldwide. I love seeing which countries are represented at Seminar... below are pics of Mary Kay consultants who won sales challenges and got to come to the US Seminar and be recognized onstage. I took pics of the gals from Taiwan and China. They wore traditional cultural dresses from their respective countries. They were so beautiful! It is so good to know that Mary Kay is providing for them a life of freedom (financial and otherwise) that they may not have known without this business. God uses Mary Kay and opens so many doors for women to realize their potential and take care of their families. They are changing the face of their countries literally one face at a time!

Below is the Queen of Sales... she just became a Mary Kay consultant last year and has already earned all three cars and is currently driving the trophy on wheels, the pink Cadillac. It is amazing to me how fast you can succeed in this business if you make the decision to work! Her family joined her on stage and her little girl was crying so hard because she was so proud of her momma! They asked the little girl how she felt and she said that she always knew her mommy could do it! Ugh!!! I sobbed!

Below is a picture of Elite Executive National Sales Director Gayle Gaston. She is retiring this year and was being honored for being the number 1 National Sales Director in the Sapphire Seminar (there are 5 seminars) and number 2 in the whole company... Basically that means she earns a lot through her business, for example, last month she earned $77,502.00 Yes, I said last MONTH! She will be receiving checks like that for her and her family over the next 15 years with Mary Kay's retirement plan. WOW! Looks like she can sit back and relax now! (She is also Robin Write Penn's mom, cool!)

And here is Joshua Allen (So You Think You can Dance Season 4 winner) again dancing his heart out on Seminar Stage!

Here is just part of our amazing unit... we are well over 140 strong!

This is Jasmine Murray from American Idol's top 13. She performed at Seminar too and did an incredible job. She has 3 sisters in Mary Kay, 2 directors and 1 red jacket... and she has been using Mary Kay since she was a pre-teen. You can tell, she has flawless skin!

Well, I loved Seminar this year! Thank you to all my friends and family, customers and team who have helped me to achieve my goal of becoming a Red Jacket! I felt so special at Seminar and so proud to be representing you in my beautiful red jacket!

If you ever have any questions about my business or Mary Kay herself, please feel free to contact me or visit my website to the right under Alicia's favorite links.

Please be inspired to know that you can accomplish anything you put your mind to... God has an incredible plan and purpose for you in your life and wants to use you to bless others and glorify Him. Believe in Him and the talents He has given you and go for it!

Girl, you were MADE for Mary Kay! What a great organization and I'm so glad you get to be a part. You are such a beautiful person on the outside and you have an even more beautiful heart. Girl, I miss you - and what's all this talk about Chaz, Hudson, and Bobby being together at PC - as long as they're the same week as mine and we can do crazy drop-offs together.

Also, dear friend, THANK YOU for your prayers for Katie. I still hurt terribly for her, cry over her loss, and think about the funeral constantly - but through the pain God is most definitely revealing Himself. THANK YOU for praying for someone you've never met - I am truly grateful for "prayer warrior" friends.
