Daddy's Homecoming!

He is finally here! 

Dave came home last week from his 7 month deployment. It was an amazing homecoming not only because he was gone so long, but also because his first son was born while he was gone. We were so excited for this day! I was jumping for joy, ecstatic beyond measure, to see my precious husband again and to present him with his beautiful son Chaz.

We waited patiently in the hanger and watched as Dave flew in and landed his chopper. Then we all got to walk out and greet our husbands. They had roses for us and hugs and kisses and tears and smiles. It was such a breathtaking experience. My face hurt from smiling so much. Dave was even more handsome to me than ever... he is so brave, our hero!

Thank you Lord for bringing our men and women back to us safely. Dave is a humble man with a servant's heart. He obeyed your call and served our country and accomplished all you had in your plan for him to do. He was courageous, patient, and strong and made you proud. Thank you for returning him home and allowing him to now enter into his newest most challenging role: a Father. Grant us strength and wisdom as we raise this most precious gift you have entrusted us with, our son. Thank you for reuniting us as a family.
